Each functional steel sculpture is made from one hundred fifty pounds of very thick one quarter inch American made 304 stainless steel used for longevity and also for its corrosion and rust resistance. Do not tarp your fire pit, the tarp will cause the patina to blacken and stop the oxidation process. In many cases the color of the tarp will transfer to the new steel.
